The PKS Mountain Lion is designed to be a Survival Tool. This knife is your one tool option in the woods. Built for heavy tasks like batoning, prying bark off a downed tree, beaver chewing saplings and chopping. The width of the blade makes this an excellent knife for splitting wood. This is the workhorse around camp. The shape of the handle provides a means to easily choke up on the blade and is comfortable in the hand.

Great looking knife. But I ordered curly maple. But it isn't curly.???
To paraphase Shawn Kelley, "This knife is sharp AF!" LOVE this knife even if it does bite back. On the second use it slipped straight through a branch and caught the back of my index finger. Landed up with the deepest cut I have ever seen but boy was it clean and painless. Just be careful; I look forward to many fun adventures with this knife by my side.
